Free Art
Once a year we do "Free Art". Each Artist makes 30 pieces of art (can be 1 piece copied 30 times, or 30 different pieces--or anything in between). We all meet to stamp the pieces with "Free Art 2008" and put them into boxes that are placed around town in Newburyport, MA, Portsmouth, NH, and Portland, ME. If you see a box, help yourself to some "free art"!Here are 20 of my pieces. . .I decided to do a bird theme. I added broken Christmas bulbs, collage, pen and paint. Each piece is sewn on decorative paper with a saying from a song. It's a great exercise to do a series like this, and every time I do it I think I should do it more often. . . maybe this year.
